On bare feet intimately hand in hand,
Our souls immersed in deep and close affection
We walked along the shore on humid sand,
The water glittered in the sun’s reflection.
We breathed contentment from the summer air,
We felt the peace so tenderly together,
A salty breeze played in your flying hair
And feelings hovered like a seagull-feather.
But suddenly I was attacked by grief,
A shiver captured me, so I looked back,
And what I saw was hardly to believe:
I only recognized one single track.
